I don't know if this question has been asked before, but now I find I have a need to know, so I'm asking it now.

I converted a number of movies into MP4 format using iSquint (and if you want a plug: THERE is a program worth having!), loaded them into iTunes and copied them onto my 1G iPod touch (16Gb). Now I find I want to remove them to make room for some other stuff, but don't want to delete them entirely.

The iPod touch doesn't have disk mode, so I don't know how to go about copying the movies and then deleting them. There is a commercial product, TouchCopy that will do this, so I know it's possible. TouchCopy wants $24.99 for its product, and the only thing it will do that Senuti and others will not is copy video! Surely there has to be a way to do this without shelling out bucks for something somebody's figured out how to do for nothing!

Go back to the original source?

Also, use Handbrake instead of iSquint.

Senuti's help files say it will transfer video:

Will Senuti recover my videos off of my iPod?
Yes, they work just like songs.

And it does work on a 2G iPod Touch. However, Senuti doesn't list the video files in a category of their own. The videos are simply lumped in with everything else in the iPod Touch Library directory.
