This is probably a very simple question, but how do you quit an open application on an ipod touch? (running 2.2). It seems if you have a lot open, they would just eat up memory.
Also, does the touch automatically backup up to iTunes when you connect it so you can restore it if you have problems?
Thanks,
Dan

To quit an iPod/iPhone application, just press the 'Home' button.
On those devices, only one program runs at a time (except certain Apple apps), and will quit when you touch the 'Home' button.
And, yes- iTunes will backup your programs and music for restoring.

iTunes does not back up music on your iPhone, because you already have that music in your iTunes library. It would take forever and be redundant. The backup archive iTunes creates each time it syncs consists of pretty much everything else.
