Hey guys,

I just got my ipod yesterday, and i'm looking for some cool stuff to buy for it.

I kind of impulse bought this nitrokey dongle i saw on ipodtouchfans, and i'm wondering if any of you have tried it? It says it jailbreaks the ipod. It looks cool anyway :p

I been googling all day and I think i figured out some stuff, correct me if i'm wrong! I need to jailbreak it to use all the free software normal guys have made right? But from what I read quickpwn wont work on it, and I need this dongle thing to boot it?

So say I do get it jailbroken, is cydia a good thing to install then afterwards?

Sorry for the dumb questions or if i posted in the wrong place

iPod touch 2G = iPhone 3G - (camera + cellphone)

The iPod doesn't have GPS does it? Or were you bundling that in with the cellphone? I guess I could probably just look at the specs, but I'm lazy ATM.

Nope, no GPS. Because the GPS in the iPhone is Assisted GPS, I think it requires the cell antenna to triangulate your position in addition to GPS.

Yep..the GPS settings will not run up until you have an mobile antenna that helps you locate your position based on a triangular mapping.
