I have an iPhone 3G which I mainly sync (manually only) with my iMac. My wife purchased some audiobooks from the iTunes store on her computer, using my iTunes account, which she put on her Nano. I wanted them on my iPhone too, but if I connect my iPhone to her computer (it is set to sync manually too), I can't drag the audiobooks to my iPhone. I may be able to do it by connecting the iPhone to her computer, and syncing using the music tab for my iPhone by selecting only audiobooks for the selected playlists. But when I try that, I get a warning that it will replace all existing music and playlists with my selection, so I don't go any further. Will syncing this way wipe out all the music on my iPhone, or only for the selected playlists?
I thought purchased content from the iTunes store could be put on more than one iPod, but do audiobooks have different copyright rules?
Also, if I set my computer to sync to my iPhone only manually, is this setting stored on my iPhone and used with any other computer I connect it to, or does each computer have it's own settings in iTunes that it applies to all iPods you connect to it?
Thanks,
Dan
