Resuscitating Rob Griffiths' "Auto-Restart Apps" Tip for Leopard?

I used to use our own Rob Griffiths' tip described here:

to automatically relaunch Quicksilver when it quit. Unfortunately, it doesn't work under Leopard because Leopard writes individual time-stamped logs, not into one file. So telling it to look for a change in a single Quicksilver crash log doesn't work any longer, since Quicksilver now writes multiple crash logs.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to bring the hint into the Leopard age?

Although I haven't tested this, it seems there's a KeepAlive option with launchd in 10.5; here's one example (in the Installing MySQL section).

Also, I found this alternative on an Apple mailing list. Also untested here.

Thanks, Rob. I am giving the "KeepAlive" feature a try. Although I might be able to implement the script, I don't think I understand exactly how it would plug together with a launchd script, so I figured I'd try the one I fully understood first. :-)
