The "cd" in nijm's post took care of that. (cd with no arg takes us home). FWIW, the trash directory gets recreated anew every time we log in... provided it was empty (or missing), at logout. - BTW -- for Terminal-based solutions -- i would go with: mkdir -m 700 ~/.Trash ...to set the proper (secure) perms.
