Remote MacOSX Installation Query

I am in the process of setting up a second bootable RAID1 volume on an Intel Mac Pro remotely which is already MacOSX Leopard. The machine is headless and having installed the drives and successfully created the second RAID1 volume I have installed the basic MacOSX Leopard OS. However, in order to proceed with the installation - setup accounts, ssh access, install system updates and software - I need to be able to reboot into this new system.

I have already configured VineServer to provide the VNC access by copying across the necessary files from the existing RAID1 volume. What I need to be able to do is set the IP address of the system to a fixed IP address, fixed gateway/router address and fixed DNS server addresses.

Is it possible to do this using a terminal command? If so does anyone what command(s) need to be issued? Otherwise does anyone have any other ideas? Is it possible to just to copy across the following files:
com.apple.Boot.plist
com.apple.network.identification.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist
from /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration to the equivalent location on the new RAID1 volume?

Any assistance would be appreciated.
