Put the DVD into the other Mac. Restart that Mac and hold the letter "T". When you see the firewire symbol on a blue screen, connect a Firewire cable between the two Macs. Start your problem Mac with the Option key down. You should see a drive appear named "Mac OS X Install"; That's the DVD. Double-click it to boot from it.

Note: If either/both computers are notebooks, you must have external power connected.
