Doesn't sound like the connection is his problem - He has an iMac (which never had a parallel port - I don't think any Mac ever had a parallel port) and that the printer was connected via ethernet.
The problem will be drivers, but a dot-matrix printer from the 90's should be able to use a fairly generic driver in monospace mode. |

You're right, of course...
I was somehow thinking that they used the old Mac as a print server, connected by ethernet, not the printer connected by ethernet. On my Mac I have ESP > Epson 24-pin Series CUPS 1.1, that I'm pretty sure would work for driver. Last edited by gsahli; 11-05-2009 at 08:36 AM. |
