iDVD 5

I created a home movie DVD via iDVD 5 using DVD-R medium. It worked on desktop DVD player and on Mac. I just wonder does it work on Windows PC DVD player running Windows XP or newer? I know it does not work on PC running Windows 98 ( that is the last PC I have ). Any idea?

Your Windows 98 would be able to play it if a third party DVD player is installed. The same applies for Windows XP. Vista (better than Basic) and Windows 7 have a DVD Player included with the System.

Are you talking about a hardware (DVD drive) or software (DVD playing software) ? My Windows 98 PC has a DVD drive but Not sure about the software. How to tell?

Software. Some DVDs (IE: Terminator) include DVD player software for Windows.
