Force Column View 10.6

Since upgrading to 10.6, my mums finder window wont stay in 'column view'...

I have deleted the user finder.plist file.... but it still wont work.... anyone know how to fix it?

Open a new window in the finder, set it up how you want it (Column View, etc)

Then open the view options - View menu -> Show View Options (cmd-j) and tick "Always open in column view" and if it's there, "Set as Default" button at the bottom.

Seemed to do the trick for me.

1. Close all windows.
2. Open a window and set it as you want it.
3. Close that window.

All windows should now open exactly as the first.
