Abbreviated Links Here?

Rather than post a long URL link, is there a way on this website to shorten/abbreviate the long link--so that it reads "This" or "Here"?

I quickly looked around. But the FAQs didn't answer my question. (Or maybe I'm not much of a reader.)

But maybe: There is no objection on this website to very long URLs?

Use the 'http://' button directly above the 'reply to' box; e.g. link here.

Duh!

But after hitting a "Post Reply" button, I saw "vB Code [help]". That explained how to do it manually.

And then the "http:// button" you cited is a tad faster than doing it manually.

(The format here is the same as at MacFixIt.)

Thanks Dave.
