Poll indicator thing

I was wondering, is there was a way to differentiate between a new vote for a poll and a new post to a poll topic? For example, if there's a new post have the standard new post icon, whereas if it's just a new vote, have a purple icon, or something to that effect.

Not without hacking the code, unfortunately. The two choices that are built in are to move polls up in the hierarchy when a new vote is cast, or to only move it up when a post is added to the poll.

I chose to have the polls move up so that older polls would get some attention and not vanish as soon as they migrated off the first page.
