Exclamation iTunes A Bit Stubborn

I run iTunes in my 15-inch PBG4
but keep all the music in the Music Folder of my 12-inch PBG4.
This works just fine. However, no matter how many times I set Preferences
to the iTunes folder in the 12-inch, iTunes reverts it back to the one in the 15-inch.
Quite annoying.

Then, I am never sure if << Consolidate Library >>
will try to copy the songs from the 15 to the 12, or viceversa.

I moved my iTunes library to an external hard disk, and I too had problems with it reverting if the external disk wasn't available. I fixed it by replacing the ~/Music/iTunes folder with an alias to the correct location of my music library. Now if the external drive is unavailable, iTunes will just crash, which I find preferrable to reverting the location.

Okay, it doesn't actually crash. It just generates an error and quits.
