Undo Safari checking for fake URL fix

A few weeks ago when everuone was abuzz with the possibility of spoofed URLs fooling Safari, I did whatever was suggested to prevent that. (I think I changed some settings in Safari, settings not normally visible to a normal user). Later it was revealed that the fix, which often gives messages suggesting the a URL is spoofed, wasn't good enough. A newer Safari came out which supposedly does prevent the spoofed URLs from deceiving people. But whatever it was I did earlier still causes the unnecessary messages from time to time, for perfectly valid sites and I have to click OK a few times before things proceed. How do I disable whatever it was that I enabled since I don't recall what that was?

I don't know what it was you changed, but a good first try would be to delete the preferences file for Safari:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
( ~ = your home folder)
