Netgear wireless router with PC and Mac

I have a netgear wireless router (WGR614) and I'm operating an iMac G5 with Tiger and a P4 PC running XP, both of which have working internet access wirelessly. I'm wanting to add a netgear wireless USB print server (WGPS606). The specs on the print server say that it requires PC with Windows 2000 or later which will work fine for now since I'm running XP on my PC. But I'm planning to get rid of the PC. Will the print server still work after I take the PC off the network?

Anyone have any experience getting a netgear print server to work with both Mac and PC?

Thanks.
