Hello,
All of a sudden, my new iMac G5 has no access to the internet. We have confirmed that the problem does not lie with the ISP, nor with a faulty ethernet cable. Under Preference>Network, I select Built-In Ethernet>DHCP as usual and the IP address shows up empty. Moreover, the button "Renew DHCP License" is greyed out and I cannot click on it. Another symptom is the much longer time it takes for the iMac to boot up. I am also unable to cross-link the iMac with my PC, which I could do before. Apple is unable to help me via the phone as I am just outside of the 90 days phone support. Before bringing the iMac into the store where I had purchased it, I am hoping that some expert in here may have a solution? I suspect that it is a faulty ethernet card? |
