Hi!

Sorry if this has been answered before but I searched first and couldn't find it. How can I turn off "check spelling as you type" for ALL apps? I want it off by default. As it is now, I have to turn it off in each app I go to every time I launch it. Is there a way to permanently disable this?

Thanks!
J

I don't believe that is a system wide feature, so the only way is to turn it off in apps that have it.

I agree with cwtnospam. This is a preference setting thats set separately in all apps.

There is a "system wide" spell checker that you can use by selecting a word and control or right clicking it, but even that requires the apps to be aware of it. It doesn't check as you type though.
