macosxhints.com down...
In case you haven't noticed, macosxhints.com is having some issues. This has been occuring since last night, and I can't get an answer out of the ISP.
As soon as I know anything I'll post here. -rob. |

Actually, it's back ... then gone ... then back ... then gone. It's currently gone again. Needless to say, I'm not thrilled with the uptime the last 24 hours.
But at least, thanks to OS X and cron, I have twice-daily backups of the database, and twice-weekly backups of the site's files. -rob. |

macosxhints is back ... and moved!
On Sunday, I relocated macosxhints.com to the same ISP (amigo-3.com) that is hosting the forum site. Page loads seem greatly improved so far!
There may be some short-term glitches until the domain name starts forwarding properly (hardcoded URLs will still go back to the old ISP, for example), but that should clear up in a day or two. -rob. |

the only (and expected!) glitch was the death of all cookies. that kinda happens with domain changes...
