iPod as digital wallet

Does anyone know of a way to make an iPod do what a MindStor or a Nixvue does? I'm shooting a Canon D60 and being able to dump it's pics to an iPod would be just the excuse I'd need to slide it under the spousal spending radar.

I'm a pro photographer and I've been dreaming of the same thing... From what i gather you would need a firewire CF/PCMCIA reader and then it would involve some software engineering of the iPod... Here is where I start to root for the hackers out there, if Apple won't do it then some other brain out there will... Wishful thinking anyway...

Nikon DCS 620 c model.... I want a new 760 bad but the 620 gets the job done... I do commercial work but I'll shot weddings if I absolutely need the money... I've used the D60 nice camera; wish it used PCMCIA like the Nikon/Kodak line does... If you ever have some money to burn you should check out Canon's IS (Image Stabilized) lenses.... I'm a bit of a photographic traitor since I'll use Nikon and Canon gear... If ever you have a question feel free to message me... I have a whole slew of photo professional friends to pull from as far as knowledge goes....

I've got one of the Canon 28-135 IS lenses, nice unit...was a toss-up between that one and the 28-70 2.8L when I was getting outfitted. Sometimes I wish for the short depth of field that 2.8 offers but the zoom range of the 28-135 sure is handy.

Question Firewire drive

Since the iPod looks like a firewire drive, it seem to me that you need a camera that can mount the drive for storage. Unfortunately the cameras are probably all dummies on firewire, not the boss.
