iPod app open

Is there anyway to add an app to auto-open when an iPod is connected? (Like iTunes and iSync do.) This info must be stored in a pref file somewhere...

I thought it was the "iTunes Helper" app that launched iTunes when an iPod was connected. It's a startup item, and runs in the background waiting to detect an iPod. Maybe it could be configured to launch a different app?

Just looking at it, I couldn't change it. It's located at /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Resources if anyone wants to poke around...
